The place where we train our bodies, spirit and mind
We have the friendliest dojo
(training hall) in New Zealand
Okinawakan Karate Remuera is located at:
ST MARKS PARISH HALL
95 REMUERA ROAD
There is some off-street parking but it is limited. Please no parking in non designated areas.
A good option is to drop your child off and then go do some shopping or enjoy a cafe in Auckland's premier shopping area.
Unfortunately we have lost the use of our famous large Hall which allowed us to run a full time dojo offering lots of classes in a fully equipped training hall. We are however fortunate to have a high quality hall to train in which is in a great location.
While our focus is traditional karate and kobudo most of our training is dedicated to practical self defence
Our Class Timetable
We will be adding more classes as we are able to secure more time slots. Term2 we will should be able to add another 4pm class. We are also hoping to add another 7pm Class in Term 2.
We will also be adding additional training for our Brown and Black Belts on a monthly basis. Members will be advised on these by email.

We schedule some special training for those interested in tournaments in addition to times when sport karate might be covered within a normal class.
Members interested in Sports Karate are invited to attend these special classes.
Kobudo is a traditional Okinawan weapons. This is a one hour class covering introductory syllabus of learning how to handle and use various weapons (bo, and tonfa).
With moving to a church hall we are unsure if this class will be able to run as before. We are yet to have formal approval so it is included on tentative basis.
